I started my stop smoking journey on 21st July this year where I attended both Normanton Library and Butterflies clinic. I have been successful before but that was 50 years ago when I was pregnant. I did not think I would be able to quit. I always felt that I needed a cigarette just to get me through the day.   I have been smoking from the age of 15 and I am now 73.  My advisor, Marie, talked me through the programme and NRT and I decided that the inhalator and patches would be the best choice for me.  I did not have a lot of faith in the treatment working, but on day one with a patch on, I did not even think about a cigarette, it never crossed my mind! No cravings! They were like magic!

I have been quit now for 8 weeks. Coming to the face-to-face clinics helped me stay on track, especially the CO Readings.  These are now (1)

What I like most about being a non-smoker is the house it smells beautiful, and my daughter and brother are so pleased with me.

I can honestly say that I have now quit for good! I will never go back to smoking!
